About Us

The Boy Scouts of America (the BSA) is one of the largest Scouting organizations in the United States of America and one of the largest youth organizations in the United States, with more than 2.4 million youth participants and nearly one million adult volunteers. The BSA was founded in 1910, and since then, more than 110 million Americans have been participants in BSA programs at some time. The BSA is part of the international Scout Movement and became a founding member organization of the World Organization of the Scout Movement in 1922.

Troop 175, originally chartered in 1986 by the United Methodist Men of Peachtree City United Methodist Church, is committed to the Boy Scouts of America’s mission. Our goal is to prepare young people to make ethical and moral choices throughout their lives by instilling the values of the Scout Oath and Law. The Scout Oath shows duty to God and country, helping others, and personal growth. The Scout Law summarizes qualities such as trustworthiness, loyalty, kindness, and bravery. These rules guide Troop 175 as we embark on our scouting missions.

The troop actively engages in outdoor adventures, community service, and skill-building activities. We fly like eagles, staying on the path set by the Scout Oath and Law. We encourage our members to be physically strong, mentally awake, and morally straight, showing the spirit of scouting. Whether it’s learning outdoor skills, participating in STEM activities, or promoting citizenship, we remain true to our misson.
